SPANISH BY EXPERIENCE
We’re introducing a new Spanish course in which everything is included: perfect for improving your skills in speaking and interacting, getting to know our culture, experiencing our gastronomy and, of course, having a lot of fun. All you have to do is come and let us guide you through our new programme. Apart from Spanish sessions in the classroom, we have integrated a large number of activities to show you our land, culture and gastronomy, and make you learn and improve your Spanish in an original and amusing way. The course has been designed according to the principles of the Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) approach so that the activities outside the classroom are an essential part of the syllabus. When you live an authentic experience, it’s easy to remember what you see, what you feel, what you listen to and what you learn. Real experiences have been fully integrated into this course. As a result, the amount of time devoted to teaching you increases dramatically without compromising on your motivation or capacity for assimilation. We offer an intensive programme in the classroom and a large number of exciting activities, covering up to 40 hours per week. We introduce a new way to learn Spanish, truly unique to Langschool, which marks a milestone in the evolution of language teaching.

In this course, you will learn how to deal with several real-life situations in Spanish. These situations are sequenced into pedagogic units that involve with different aspects of our culture, tradition, and gastronomy. You will learn Spanish through an intensive programme of linguistic immersion where, apart from classroom sessions, you will live authentic experiences that are unique to our interesting way of life. You will witness the essence of our culture; you will sample Mediterranean cuisine through traditional Catalan dishes; you will discover the secrets of Girona and Barcelona, the genius of our artists, and the history of our land; you will sunbathe under the radiant Costa Brava sun, play games and socialize with our people, and you will enjoy breath-taking experiences that you would never have imagined finding in a language course.

Girona is a beautiful university town, capital of the province of the same name. It is small enough to get around by walking and to be considered safe, but important enough to contain key government institutions and to be well-connected by modern transport infrastructures. It boasts an international high-speed train terminal, an international airport, a major highway, and an international bus station. The Historic centre of Girona, or the Old Town, comprises a Medieval Jewish quarter (the largest in Europe), a singular cathedral, beautifully painted houses by the riverside, and a fortification which partly surrounds its limits. This little city is also well-located, at a 38-minute train ride from Barcelona, at 30-minute drive from the spectacular beaches of the Costa Brava, 20 minutes from the Girona airport, and 45 minutes from the border of France.
The province of Girona combines an ancient history, a long tradition of Catalan culture, the finest Mediterranean cuisine, and unique contemporary art with progressive modernity. Its inhabitants are friendly bilinguals, who speak both Spanish and Catalan, and who are always looking forward to meeting people from around the world.
ACCOMMODATION add_circle
During the course, you will stay at the Campus de Montilivi Residence Hall (Resa Group): A modern residence hall for students where you will have your own comfortable and functional single room with air-conditioning and your own private bathroom. The residence hall also offers complementary Wi-Fi, free admission to the gym, as many other facilities that are suitable for students.
The residence hall is located close to the classrooms, at the Montilivi Campus of University of Girona, the best atmosphere for learning, speaking and making friends.
